Hasn’t 2020 and 2021 been an odd couple of years?
COVID-19 has massively disrupted thousands of businesses all over the world, in every industry, no matter where you are.
We are hoping in 2022, things are a little bit closer to normal so we can focus on growing rather than surviving.
So how do we grow? What should we be focusing on? What ideas haven’t we thought of that could prove successful and give us a positive return on investment?
We want to answer all of these questions in this article to help you grow your brand.
So here’s a bunch of ideas to get your brain racing and into full creative mode. We hope you enjoy them.
1: Test guerrilla marketing campaigns
This is probably something you haven’t done, but we would highly recommend you try.
Guerrilla marketing is a type of marketing where you use unconventional means to communicate your message.
Some of the world’s best campaigns could be classed as guerrilla marketing. What’s even better is that it’s open to businesses of all sizes because it relies more on ingenuity and creativity rather than huge budgets.
Just take a look at this example.
Durex has got this spot-on. For the cost of a few personalized stickers, they’ve created brilliant, emotional interaction with potential customers that you won’t forget quickly. We love this type of marketing and think it will help any brand.
2: Try sticker giveaways
Giveaways can really work. However, they can also be a flop.
The trick to getting them right is to choose prizes that appeal to your market. For example, if you have a product business, why not give away some small samples along with some company Mirch, such as a T-shirt and some laptop stickers you’ve had made for your brand.
Once you have the right prices, then it’s all about exposure. Try getting the word out on social media, on your website, and in your email subscriber list.
The more people that know about it means, the more people that will enter and ultimately interact with your brand, which is exactly what you want.
3: Collaborate with influencers
Influences have proven to be a successful way to market brands all over the world in many different industries.
Gymshark is well known for having huge growth by working with influencers on social media and real-life events.
They really focus on building a community around fitness and tying their product to that community, and it has worked brilliantly for them.
When working out who to collaborate with, the important bit is to pick the right influencer at the right stage of your journey. For example, if you’re a tiny start-up trying to work with someone who has 10 million followers isn’t going to work.
You need to work with someone who is also small in starting out with whom you can grow.
4: Work on conversation optimization
This is probably the most underrated marketing tactic I’ve ever come across. And it probably has the biggest impact on your bottom line.
For example, if you can increase your conversion rate from 1% to 2%, you effectively reduce your cost per acquisition by 50%. It halves!
So really, working on converting every customer that comes to your site is super important.
Luckily some experts have dedicated their professional lives to the subject. This book Making Websites Win is one of the best resources on the subject, and I highly recommend reading it.
